Celebration of Innovation in Learning & Teaching (CoILT)
Summary of CoILT
Now in its second year, the Celebration of Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CoILT) brings the Curtin community together to recognise, showcase and celebrate the creativity, dedication and innovation enriching learning and teaching across the University. This year’s event will be held on Friday 2 October.
The event is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas and best practice, build new networks and celebrate initiatives making a meaningful impact on student learning. Whether you are an educator, a professional staff member or someone who supports excellence in education, we encourage you to join us.
Under the theme Sustainability in the Face of Change, CoILT 2026 will explore how our learning and teaching community is adapting and thriving in an evolving higher education landscape. The program will feature presentations and discussions on:
-
Student Experience
-
Student Retention and Outcomes
-
Indigenous Ways of Learning and Knowing.
Themes will be explored through presentations selected from submitted abstracts and our keynote speakers will bring broader insights and perspectives to the program:
-
Associate Professor Roma Forbes, Associate Dean (Academic) at The University of Queensland
-
Associate Professor Jenna Woods, Dean of the School of Indigenous Knowledges at Murdoch University.
Join colleagues from across Curtin to discover inspiring initiatives and celebrate the work shaping the future of learning and teaching.
